About Us

Greetings fellow Couples:

We are married for 20+ years and still going strong and have seen many ups and downs during this incredible and adventurous journey so far.
Since the big day, we have experienced love, joy, pain, sharing, sacrifice, sorrow, anger, frustration, accusation, and have almost divorced each other so many times that we lost the count.
Along this period we also met many other couples, facing the same situations and differences and having the same anxiety just like us.
Few of our friends also got so frustrated with their ongoing difficulties that they gave up on each other and parted ways. It ended for them but may have left a void in their lives.

Experiencing all this made us realize that there are a lot of other couples who face the same differences, difficulties, disappointments, expectations, etc. and wonder about these good quotes:

When you feel like quitting, think about why you started.
Tough times never last, but tough people do.
--Robert. H. Schuller

Life isn't finding shelter in the storm. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
--Sherrilyn Kenyon

And, we created Husband and Wife Blog, which will depict scenarios as stories, and will show that most of the couples go through the same problems and how we can help each other to make it work.
This blog should resonate wholeheartedly with a broad audience of readers.

Please feel free to state your views and include your vote to support this as your thoughts and wishes may save a relationship.

Relations hold a very important value, It is not going to fall due to a misunderstanding, blame, recession, or economic crisis.
Invest your time and emotion in it and watch it grow.

Once someone asked a very wise and Famous person:
"What is the most easy and difficult thing in life?"
He smilingly answered "Mistakes", easy to judge when others do it, difficult to realize it when we do it.

Marriage lets you annoy one special person for the rest of your life.
So let's fasten our seat belt and buckle up for an exciting ride.

Cheers!!!!!

Misunderstandings in husband and wife Parenting Styles

Misunderstandings are a common occurrence in any relationship, including between husbands and wives. They can arise due to various reasons, such as miscommunication, differences in perspectives, or unmet expectations. Resolving misunderstandings requires open and honest communication, empathy, and a willingness to understand each other's viewpoints.

What type of misunderstanding can husband and wife have?

Misunderstandings between husbands and wives can vary widely depending on the individuals and their specific circumstances. Here are some common types of misunderstandings that couples may experience:

Communication breakdown: Misunderstandings often arise from a lack of effective communication. This can include misinterpreting each other's words, tone, or intentions, or failing to express one's thoughts and emotions clearly. Differences in communication styles and patterns can lead to confusion and conflict.

Unmet expectations: Each spouse may have different expectations regarding various aspects of the relationship, such as roles and responsibilities, financial matters, intimacy, or parenting. When these expectations are not effectively communicated or aligned, misunderstandings can occur, leading to feelings of disappointment or resentment.

Differences in priorities and values: Husband and wife may have differing priorities or values that lead to misunderstandings. For example, one partner may prioritize career advancement, while the other may prioritize spending more time with the family. These differences can create tensions and misunderstandings if not addressed and understood.

Emotional disconnect: Sometimes, husbands and wives may have difficulty understanding and empathizing with each other's emotions. This can result in misunderstandings, as one spouse may feel dismissed or unheard. Emotional disconnect can strain the relationship and hinder effective communication.

Financial matters: Money is a common source of misunderstandings and conflicts in many relationships. Disagreements about budgeting, spending habits, saving goals, or financial responsibilities can lead to misunderstandings if not openly discussed and addressed.

Household responsibilities: Dividing household chores and responsibilities can be a source of contention if there is a lack of clarity or agreement. Misunderstandings can occur when one spouse feels overwhelmed or believes that the other is not contributing equally.

Differences in parenting styles: Raising children can bring about misunderstandings if husbands and wives have differing approaches to parenting. Disagreements regarding discipline, education, or other parenting decisions can strain the relationship and lead to misunderstandings.

Today we will focus only on misunderstanding created due to differences in parenting styles. How and what can lead to misunderstanding, tension and war between husband and wife. Even though both are guardians and well wishers of their children and want just the best of this world for their child, so where does this ego come from?

Differences in parenting styles between husbands and wives can indeed lead to misunderstandings and conflicts. Parenting styles refer to the overall approach and strategies that parents use in raising their children. When spouses have contrasting parenting styles, they may face challenges in finding common ground and making decisions regarding their children's upbringing. Here are some examples of how such differences can lead to misunderstandings:

Discipline: One parent may prefer a stricter approach to discipline, while the other may opt for a more lenient approach. Disagreements about rules, consequences, and methods of discipline can cause misunderstandings and confusion for the children. The stricter parent may perceive the lenient parent as permissive or undermining their authority, while the lenient parent may view the stricter parent as too harsh or rigid.

Communication and involvement: One parent may prioritize open communication and encourage their children to express their emotions freely. On the other hand, the other parent may have a more reserved approach and focus on maintaining discipline and order. This difference in communication styles can lead to misunderstandings, as children may receive conflicting messages or feel unsure about how to interact with their parents.

Parental expectations: Husbands and wives may have different expectations regarding their children's academic performance, extracurricular activities, or overall achievements. If one parent sets high expectations and the other has more relaxed expectations, misunderstandings can arise. The child may feel caught in the middle, unsure about which parent's expectations to fulfill or feeling pressure to meet conflicting standards.

Time management: Discrepancies in how spouses prioritize and allocate time for their children's activities can create misunderstandings. One parent may emphasize structured schedules and prioritize academic or extracurricular commitments, while the other may value more unstructured playtime or family bonding. These differences can lead to conflicts over how the children's time is managed and can cause misunderstandings about the appropriate balance between responsibilities and leisure.

Decision-making: Major decisions about a child's education, healthcare, or other important aspects of their life may become sources of misunderstandings if spouses have different opinions or approaches. Disagreements about school choices, medical treatments, or even dietary preferences can create tension and misunderstandings if there is a lack of communication and compromise.

Misunderstandings in husband and wife Parenting Styles

Reflect on your parenting styles: Each spouse should take time to reflect on their own parenting style and understand the reasons behind their approach. Consider your upbringing, values, and beliefs that shape your parenting choices. Reflecting on your own style can help you gain a better understanding of yourself and facilitate more productive discussions with your spouse.

Foster open and respectful communication: Create a safe and non-judgmental space for open communication. Set aside dedicated time to discuss your parenting approaches, concerns, and goals. Actively listen to your spouse's perspective without interrupting or becoming defensive. Validate each other's feelings and experiences, even if you may not fully agree.

Find common values and goals: Identify the shared values and goals you have for your children. Focus on the overarching principles and values that you both believe in and want to instill in your children's upbringing. Finding common ground will help guide your decision-making process and bridge the gap between different parenting styles.

Compromise and negotiate: Understand that parenting is a joint responsibility that requires compromise and negotiation. Look for areas where you can meet in the middle and find a balance between your parenting styles. Be open to trying out new approaches or adjusting your own style to accommodate the concerns and preferences of your spouse.

Seek outside resources and support: Consult parenting resources, books, or attend parenting classes together. Educate yourselves about different parenting approaches and techniques. Engaging in these activities as a couple can help you gain insights and perspectives, fostering a shared understanding of various parenting styles.

Divide and conquer: Recognize that it's okay to have different parenting styles for different areas of child-rearing. Determine areas where each spouse can take the lead based on their strengths, interests, and beliefs. By dividing responsibilities, you allow each other space to implement your parenting styles without undermining one another.

Parent as a team: Remind yourselves that you are a team working towards the best interests of your children. Maintain open lines of communication and regularly check in with each other to ensure you are on the same page. Support one another in front of the children, presenting a united front even when you have differences in parenting styles.

Seek professional guidance if needed: In some cases, unresolved conflicts and misunderstandings related to parenting styles may require the assistance of a professional, such as a family therapist or counselor. They can provide neutral guidance, help facilitate communication, and offer strategies for resolving conflicts.

Remember that parenting styles can evolve over time as you learn and grow together as parents. It's essential to maintain patience, empathy, and respect for each other as you navigate the complexities of raising children.
